Point Blank

            Point Blank is a crime film that was made in 1967 by the film director John Boorman.  A quick overview of the film is Walker works with a friend named Mal to steal cash.  Once they have stolen the cash Mal turns on Walker and ends up shooting him for the cash and takes it all.  Throughout all this happening Mal ends up taking Walkers wife as well.  Once the film goes on we find out that Walker didn’t actually die and he plans a revenge on Mal and the big key is to get his money back.  The 93,000 dollars which they make a big deal on the exact amount of money.

            This movie is mainly in Los Angeles where Walker goes to Lynn’s house all in looking for Mal.  Once Walker realizes that he wasn’t there, during all this going on Lynn decides she doesn’t want to live anymore so she overdoses on pills and dies.  After all this goes on Mal sister in law joins in and meets with Mal in a hotel which is all planned out with Walker to get Mal back.  Walker walks in on Mal and Walkers sister in law which is all planned out and has a gun going to kill Mal, with all this happening Mal ends up falling off the hotel balcony and dies.  After this happened Walker disappears and is just out to get his money and kills everyone that gets in his way of the money.  At the end of the movie he does get to his 93,000 dollars but doesn’t end up leaving with the cash. 

            This movie Point Blank was an okay movie to me.  It wasn’t like any other movie I’ve ever seen before, in the sense of how the director set it up and made you think throughout the whole movie from scene to scene.  The movie scenes skipped around a lot and were hard to follow and when this happens I feel it’s hard to stay focused and remember what’s actually going on.  I’m not really sure why at the end of the movie Walker didn’t take the money, if I had to say it was probably because he just wanted to get the revenge on Mal and everyone that was involved in the whole situation.  A lot of people liked this movie and it was big with the people so if you are into thrillers and crime movies this is a good one for you.  This film is different from any other thrillers I’ve ever seen but that’s a good thing sometimes to get the whole view in films.  All in all this was a good film and I would recommend this to someone looking for a good thriller and crime movie.
