Point Blank

Point Blank is a crime film that was made in 1967 by the film director John Boorman. This was a pretty good film that involved some crime and deception in it. The movie is about two guys who steal cash. The two men end up stealing ninety-three thousand dollars when it is all said and done. The only problem is once they have all the money one of them turns on the other. One of the men decides to turn on his partner and shoots him. After he shoots him he then decides to go after his wife because he thought he was dead. The big surprise in this movie is that the man that was shot never died. He lived through the gun shot and decided to plan a revenge plot against his partner that shot him.
This film is mainly considered to be a crime film but there is also a lot of drama that happens throughout the movie as well. Many different scenes show more drama then they do crime. The main reason it is a crime film is because it mainly is about the stealing of the money. Throughout the movie there also is a lot of drama that happens. After the women leaves her husband to be with the man that attempted to kill him she decides that she doesn’t want to live anymore and kills herself. Also, the ending of the movie has a lot of drama. The man who was shot goes back to kill the man that tried to kill him. When he does though the man that shot him falls off a balcony and dies before he can shoot him. The man that gets shot over the money has the money at the end of film but does not end up taking it.
My overall opinion of this film was that I liked it. it was different than most films in that it had that crime aspect but also had the drama that was going on throughout the entire plot. It had crime, deception and back stabbing in it. It wasn’t what typical kind of films that I watch but it was something different and I enjoyed watching it.
